FIRST WORKSHOP: MECHANICS OF A HANDSTAND

Saturday January 25 | 1:00-3:00pm

A strong handstand starts from the ground up. In this 2-hour workshop, we’ll break down the essential prep work to build the strength, mobility, and body awareness needed to support your handstand practice—no matter where you are in your journey.

What You’ll Learn:

  • Core Strength & Stability: Explore drills that cultivate the foundation for inversions, focusing on the core's role in balance.

  • Shoulder Preparation: Learn mobility exercises and stability techniques to create a strong and safe shoulder girdle.

  • Wrist & Hand Engagement: Understand how to protect your wrists while activating your hands for a solid base.

  • Alignment in Action: Dive into the mechanics of stacking the body for balance and ease in your handstand.

  • Wall Work & Progressions: Practice accessible approaches using the wall and other props to safely develop strength and confidence.

This workshop is designed to help you understand and experience the building blocks of handstands without pressure to “stick” the pose. You’ll leave with practical tools and drills to integrate into your practice, making steady and mindful progress toward your inversion goals.

    May 4 | 1:00-3:00pm

In this 2-hour workshop, we’ll break down the foundational mechanics of efficient movement by focusing on body awareness, joint stability, and fascial release techniques. Through guided practices, you’ll learn how to move with greater freedom while building resilience and reducing tension.

After a debilitating car accident and subsequent surgeries, doctors said my active lifestyle was over!
